A Christmas Carol

  • By Charles Dickens
  • Adapted by David McCann
  • Directed by Karlyn Love
  • December 7-24

This unique and fresh adaptation of A Christmas Carol will return audiences to the real spirit and language of Charles Dickens' holiday classic. David McCann's intelligent script is not the overly sentimental story we have all come to expect. This dark and edgy "Christmas Carol" will thrill you, chill you and fill you with a warm glow. A ghost story and a story of redemption, Dickens's tale warns us of how greed and loneliness can close us off to the world around us if we do not open our hearts and homes to those in need at Christmas time and all year long. This show promises to be a feast for the eyes, ears and imagination! The whole family can experience and enjoy A Christmas Carol this holiday season at Clackamas Repertory Theatre.

Fuddy Meers

  • by David Lindsay-Abaire
  • August 3-20
  • Directed by David Smith-English

Fuddy Meers is a wild ride with Claire, a "memory -challenged" woman and her alleged family. Kidnapped by one husband and pursued by another, Claire cheerfully seeks the truth. There's the all-too-good husband, a mysterious limping, lisping, half-blind stranger, the pot-smoking son, an ex-con with a foul-mouthed puppet, a stroke victim who can only speak gibberish and a tough woman who may, or may not be a cop. Fuddy Meers is a roller coaster ride through the day of an amnesiac trying to decipher her fractured life, while being surrounded by alarmingly bizarre characters.

"[a] dark, sweet, and thoroughly engaging comedy" ~ Ben Brantley, NY Times

"Uproarious" ~ Vincent Canby, NY Times
