About CRT

Mission

Clackamas Repertory Theatre provides students, families and youth in Clackamas County the opportunity to engage in thoughtful, entertaining and educational theatrical experiences.  It prepares current and former Clackamas Community College students for a career in theatre, gives Clackamas County youth the chance to experience theatre first hand through summer internships and classes at the College, and offers high quality financially accessible productions for the citizens of Clackamas County and beyond.

History

Clackamas Repertory Theatre was founded in 2004 by the Clackamas Community College Theatre faculty, with David Smith-English, artistic director; Chris Whitten, resident designer and technical director; Alva Bradford, costume designer and Cynthia Smith-English, managing director.  With substantial in kind support from the College, grants from local foundations and business sponsorships the theatre opened with Moon Over Buffalo in July, 2005.
